Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 July 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and us for your use of Edgewise. Please read them — by creating an account, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.

The four things that matter most

1. Edgewise is not financial advice. It records and analyses trades you have already made. It never tells you what to trade.

2. The rule figures can be wrong. Drawdown, daily-loss and consistency numbers are estimates calculated from the data you enter. Your prop firm's own dashboard is the only figure that counts — always check it before trading. We are not responsible for a breached rule or a lost funded account. See section 3.

3. Edgewise is still in beta. Your data is stored on persistent, backed-up storage, but features are still changing — and it is always wise to keep your own export. See section 4.

4. If we ever charge you, you get 14 days to change your mind and a full refund, for any reason at all.

1. Who we are

Edgewise (“Edgewise”, “we”, “us”) is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY], [COMPANY NUMBER], of [BUSINESS ADDRESS], United Kingdom. You can contact us at any time at [SUPPORT EMAIL].

2. What Edgewise is — and what it is not

Edgewise is a trading journal: a record-keeping and analytics tool. You log the trades you have already taken (or import them from your broker), and Edgewise organises them, tracks them against rules you enter yourself, and shows you statistics about your own past trading.

Edgewise is not a financial advice or investment service

Edgewise does not and will not: give investment advice or recommendations; tell you what, when or whether to trade; provide trade signals, tips or “ideas”; manage money or trade on your behalf; or predict or forecast markets. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, because nothing we do is a regulated activity.

Every trading decision you make is entirely your own. Nothing in Edgewise — no statistic, chart, status indicator, progress bar or alert — is a recommendation to open, hold or close any position.

Trading carries a high risk of losing money. The rules Edgewise tracks are the rules you enter, and the figures it shows are derived from the data you provide. It is your responsibility to check your true account status with your broker or prop firm. Edgewise is not connected to your firm's systems and cannot prevent you from breaching a rule.

We do not promise or imply that using Edgewise will make you profitable, help you pass an evaluation, or keep a funded account. It is a tool for reviewing your own performance, and nothing more.

3. The rule tracker can be wrong — your firm's dashboard is the only figure that counts

Read this section before relying on any rule figure in Edgewise

Edgewise displays estimates of prop-firm rule metrics — including maximum loss / trailing drawdown (MLL), daily loss limit (DLL), consistency, and profit-target progress. These figures are calculations, and they can be wrong.

They are computed only from the trades, prices, rules and settings you enter or import. Edgewise has no connection to your prop firm's systems and no knowledge of your true account state. The figures can be wrong or out of date for many reasons, including: a trade you have not logged yet; an import error or an incomplete broker file; a mistyped price, size or rule value; commissions, fees or swaps your firm counts differently; intraday equity movements Edgewise never sees; your firm calculating a rule differently to how you configured it; or your firm changing its rules.

Before every trading decision, check the MLL, DLL and consistency figures on your prop firm's own dashboard. That dashboard — not Edgewise — is the authoritative and only binding source of your account status. If Edgewise and your firm ever disagree, your firm is right.

Edgewise will not be held responsible for a blown, breached or lost funded account or evaluation. By using Edgewise you accept that you will not rely on it as your source of account status, and that any rule breach — whatever Edgewise displayed at the time — is between you and your firm. This includes where an Edgewise figure was inaccurate, delayed, or showed you as “safe”.

4. Beta service

Still in beta — keep your own backup

Edgewise is currently in beta and provided free of charge. Beta means it is still being actively developed, and features may change, move or occasionally break while we improve them.

Your account and trades are stored on persistent storage that survives restarts, updates and deployments. As with any online service, however, no storage is infallible, and we cannot rule out data loss caused by a technical fault, a provider outage, or an error on our part.

We therefore recommend using the Export CSV and Backup JSON functions from time to time so you always hold your own copy of your journal. Both are free and available on every plan.

During beta the service is provided “as is”. Our liability for loss of data is limited as set out in section 16.

5. Who can use Edgewise

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. Edgewise is intended for individual traders using their own trading accounts. You may not use it on behalf of anyone else without our agreement.

6. Your account

7. Plans and pricing

Edgewise offers a Free plan (limited accounts and trades) and a Premium plan (currently £15 per month, including any VAT that applies). While Edgewise is in beta, Premium features are available at no charge and we are not taking payments.

Sections 8 to 11 apply from the moment we begin charging. We will tell you clearly before that happens, and you will never be charged without first choosing a paid plan.

8. Payment and renewal

9. Your 14-day right to change your mind

14 days, full refund, no reason needed

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have 14 days from starting a paid subscription to cancel it and get your money back. We go further: we will give you a full refund, for any reason, no questions asked — even if you have used the service in the meantime.

Just email [SUPPORT EMAIL] within 14 days, and we will refund you within 14 days of hearing from you, using the payment method you paid with.

10. Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time from inside your account, in the same number of clicks it took to subscribe. There are no cancellation fees, no phone calls, and no retention hoops.

When you cancel, you keep Premium until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. After that your account reverts to the Free plan — your data is not deleted.

11. Refunds outside the 14 days

Outside the 14-day period we do not generally refund part-months, because you can cancel at any time and keep access until the period ends. This does not affect your legal rights (see section 17): if the service is faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality, you may be entitled to a refund, and we will honour that.

12. Acceptable use

Please do not:

If you find a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to [SUPPORT EMAIL] rather than exploiting it. We will not pursue anyone who reports one in good faith.

13. Your data belongs to you

You own the trades, notes, screenshots and other content you put into Edgewise. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.

You give us permission to store, back up, process and display that content strictly so that we can run the service for you. That permission ends when you delete the content, or your account.

You can export everything at any time from within the app, and you can delete your account and all of your data from within the app. How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

14. Our intellectual property

Edgewise — the software, design, branding and content — belongs to us. Your account gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it while your account is active. It does not transfer any ownership to you.

15. Availability, changes, and ending the service

We aim to keep Edgewise available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend it for maintenance, and we may change or remove features as the product develops.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right and to export your data.

If we ever decide to close Edgewise down, we will give you at least 30 days' notice so that you can export your data, and we will refund any period you have paid for but not received.

16. Our liability to you

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Subject to that:

17. Your legal rights

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital services must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If Edgewise is not, you may be entitled to a repair, a price reduction or a refund. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away. For free advice, contact Citizens Advice.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product and the law change. If a change materially affects you, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you may cancel free of charge if you do not accept it. The “last updated” date at the top always tells you when they last changed.

19. Complaints

If something is wrong, email [SUPPORT EMAIL]. We will reply within 5 working days and do our best to put it right. If you are not satisfied, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution service, and you always keep the right to go to court.
